Ayanna's elegant Barbie themed party!

Barbie themed parties can sometimes look over the top, bright & colourful, which is why I loved working with Mind Blowing Balloons to create printables for this beautiful Barbie themed party in honour of little Ayanna. We used all the colours the client requested which were shades of pinks and purples with just a silhouette of Barbie to keep the whole look pretty and elegant.
Below are all the printables I designed which consist of stickers, menu tags, program, water bottle wrappers, thank you tags, bunting and silhouettes we used as foam boards around the event. I also managed to get a few images from the party so created a montage as well.

FREE letter to Santa Printable

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

That for a lot of people means a very busy time of year, especially for those that have young kids. There are presents to buy, the Christmas tree needs to be dug out and put up and cookies will have to be baked. While this is busy and hectic for us parents, it's the most magical time of the year for our kids!

One tradition I loved as a kid was writing my letter to Santa. It's such a memorable family tradition and today I love that I can pass that on to my daughter. She's too young to write an actual letter to Santa so I thought it would be great to create one and share with all my followers and fellow bloggers.

Download your free printable Dear Santa Letter here: Print on regular paper, get your kids to make their wishes, sign, seal and get it delivered to the North Pole!

Maya's indoor picnic party!

What an innovative and ingenious way to escape the scorching heat and make the most of summer - an indoor picnic!

Have a look at the stationery I designed for a recent event - although indoors, I used summer colours like yellow, green and pink to give an outdoorsy look and feel. I kept the designs simple but played on the front which lent a rustic theme to the picnic.

Kaden's exotic animal themed birthday

This was a fun assignment.....2 year Kaden celebrated his birthday with an exotic animal theme party.

I kept the based colors of blue, green and brown to capture the whole jungle and swamp feel but added splashes of bright yellow to keep the young, kiddie theme going...like my lil girl, Kaden loves his animals so I added a whole host of them from monkeys to elephants, snakes & parrots and even threw in an iguana for good measure :)

If you would like something similar done or perhaps have your own unique idea on how you'd like your kid's birthday done, drop me a line at papercouturedubai@gmail.com.

Free Father's Day Printable

Father's Day is around the corner and I am sure that each and every one you would have planned something amazing for your other halves.

Would love for you to allow me to add to that pot of ideas and share with you a DIY idea for Dad's special day. Unlike my earlier creations, I must confess, this is not a Paper Couture original and I have taken inspiration from someone I consider the First Lady of Design & Decor, Ms Martha Stewart!

Nevertheless, thought I would spread the word and let you in on how you and your little boy or girl can create a 'straight from the heart' keepsake for the most important man in your lives.

Happy Father's Day!

Stationery for sisters Giselle & Keziah - Fairies

Apologies everyone - I know its been ages since my last post but its been an absolute manic time for me!!!

Don't get me wrong, I've loved every minute of it - the orders have been pouring in, enough to satiate the creative demons in me......but I must admit that trying to juggle a full time designing job, a toddler bang in the middle of her 'terrible 2's' and maintain some semblance of a social life is quite exhausting to put it mildly :)

It's funny, when I first started out, I had the typical fears of whether anyone would buy into the idea of 'bespoke stationery' and if I would even be given a chance to share my vision with others....count down 5 months to the date and I've been busy as a bee, designing stationery across a host of interesting and unusual themes.

Here's one I did for sisters Keziah and Giselle....their mom was looking for something magical, angelic and girlie and lo behold!.....the fairies were created. Wanted to have the figures identical to maintain the sisterly theme and used the clouds to support the heavenly look and feel....

Before I sign off, I have to take a few minutes to say a great big thank you to Dubai Confidential, Aquarius Magazine, MomSouq.com and TimeOut Kids Dubai for featuring me and Paper Couture - my reach would not be as wide without your support!
